1. Getting Started - Login

1.1 Accessing the Platform

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the platform URL provided by your administrator
  2. You will see the login screen

1.2 Logging In with Email and Password

  1. Enter your Email Address in the email field
  2. Enter your Password in the password field
  3. Click the "Login" or "Sign In" button
  4. If your credentials are correct, you will be redirected to the dashboard

Troubleshooting Login Issues:

  • If you see an error message "Please check Credentials", verify that your email and password are correct
  • Make sure Caps Lock is not accidentally turned on
  • Contact your administrator if you've forgotten your password

1.3 Logging In with Google (Optional)

If Google authentication is enabled for your account:

  1. On the login screen, click the "Sign in with Google" button
  2. You will be redirected to Google's login page
  3. Select your Google account or sign in with your Google credentials
  4. Grant permission to the application if prompted
  5. You will be automatically redirected to the dashboard

1.4 Email Verification

If your account requires email verification:

  1. After signing up, you will receive a verification email
  2. Check your email inbox (and spam folder if needed)
  3. Click the verification link in the email
  4. Your account will be activated and you can log in

2. Managing Media

Media is the core content that you'll display on your screens. This includes images, videos, apps, and more.

2.1 Accessing the Media Library

  1. After logging in, navigate to the Media section from the main menu
  2. You will see your media library with all your uploaded content

2.2 Uploading Media Files

  1. Click the "Upload" or "Add Media" button
  2. Select "Upload File" option
  3. Choose an image file from your computer (JPG, PNG, GIF formats supported)
  4. Enter a name for your media item
  5. Click "Save" or "Upload"
  6. Wait for the upload to complete

Uploading Videos

  1. Click the "Upload" or "Add Media" button
  2. Select "Upload File" option
  3. Choose a video file from your computer (MP4, AVI formats supported)
  4. Enter a name for your video

Uploading PowerPoint Presentations

2.3 Creating App Content

Apps are interactive content types that can display dynamic information like weather, YouTube videos, RSS feeds, and more.

Accessing the App Creator

  1. In the Media section, click "Create App" or "Add App"
  2. You will see a grid of available app types

YouTube App

Display YouTube videos on your screens.

  1. Select "YouTube" from the app options
  2. Enter a name for your YouTube app
  3. Paste the YouTube video URL or Video ID
  4. Configure playback options (autoplay, loop, etc.)
  5. Click "Save" to create the app

Weather App

Show real-time weather information.

  1. Select "Weather" from the app options
  2. Enter a name for your weather app
  3. Enter the City name or Location
  4. Choose temperature units (Celsius/Fahrenheit)
  5. Select display style and refresh interval
  6. Click "Save" to create the app

Clock App

Display current date and time.

  1. Select "Clock" from the app options
  2. Enter a name for your clock app
  3. Choose clock format (12-hour or 24-hour)

Message Board App

RSS Feed App

Web URL App

QR Code App

Generate and display QR codes.

Product Showcase App

Playlist App

2.4 Organizing Media with Folders

Keep your media organized by using folders.

  1. In the Media library, click "Create Folder" or the folder icon
  2. Enter a folder name
  3. Click "Create"
  4. To move media into a folder, drag and drop or use the move option
  5. Click on a folder to view its contents

2.5 Editing Media

  1. Find the media item you want to edit
  2. Click the edit icon (pencil) or right-click and select "Edit"
  3. Make your changes (name, settings, etc.)
  4. Click "Save" to apply changes

2.6 Deleting Media

  1. Find the media item you want to delete
  2. Click the delete icon (trash) or right-click and select "Delete"
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted
  4. The media will be permanently removed

⚠️ Warning: Deleting media that is currently used in a publication may affect your displays.


3. Creating Screens

Screens represent physical display devices where your content will be shown.

3.1 Accessing Screens Management

  1. Navigate to "Screens" from the main menu
  2. You will see a list of all your screens

3.2 Creating a New Screen

  1. Click the "Add Screen" or "Create Screen" button
  2. Fill in the screen details:
    • Screen Name: Give your screen a descriptive name (e.g., "Lobby Display", "Reception Screen")
    • Username: Create a unique username for this screen (used for authentication)
    • Password: Create a secure password for this screen
    • Status: Enable or disable the screen

  1. Click "Save" or "Create Screen"
  2. Your screen is now created and ready to be set up on a physical device

3.3 Screen Authentication Setup

After creating a screen, you need to connect it to a physical display device:

  1. On your display device, open the player application
  2. You will see an authentication screen
  3. Choose one of two authentication methods:

Method 1: Username and Password

  1. Enter the username and password you created for the screen
  2. Click "Authenticate" or "Login"
  3. The screen will connect and start displaying content

Method 2: Device Code (Pairing)

  1. The display will show a device code (e.g., "ABCD-1234")
  2. On your computer, go to the activation page
  3. Enter the device code
  4. Select the screen you want to pair
  5. The device will automatically connect

3.4 Managing Screens

Editing a Screen

  1. Find the screen in the screens list
  2. Click the edit icon
  3. Update screen details as needed
  4. Click "Save"

Disabling a Screen

  1. Find the screen you want to disable
  2. Click the edit icon
  3. Toggle the "Enabled" switch to OFF
  4. Click "Save"
  5. The screen will stop receiving content

Deleting a Screen

  1. Find the screen you want to delete
  2. Click the delete icon
  3. Confirm the deletion
  4. The screen will be permanently removed

4. Creating Publications

Publications are content layouts that combine your media and define how it will be displayed on screens.

4.1 Understanding Publications

A publication consists of:

  • Layout: The arrangement of content regions on the screen
  • Content: Media items assigned to each region
  • Screens: Which physical screens will display this publication

4.2 Accessing Publications

  1. Navigate to "Publications" or "Screen Publications" from the main menu
  2. You will see a list of your existing publications

4.3 Creating a New Publication

  1. Click "Create Publication" or "New Publication"
  2. You will see the publication editor

4.4 Setting Up Your Publication

Step 1: Choose a Name

  1. At the top of the editor, enter a publication name
  2. Make it descriptive so you can easily identify it later

Step 2: Select a Layout Template

  1. Click on "Select Template" or "Choose Layout"
  2. Browse available layout templates:
    • Single Full Screen: One region covering the entire screen
    • Split Screen (2 regions): Screen divided into 2 sections
    • Triple Split: Screen divided into 3 sections
    • Quad Layout: Screen divided into 4 sections
    • Custom layouts: Other predefined layouts

  1. Click on a template to select it
  2. The editor will update to show the selected layout

Step 3: Assign Media to Regions

  1. You will see your layout divided into regions (areas)
  2. Each region can hold one media item
  3. To add content to a region:
    • Click on the region
    • A media picker will open
    • Browse your media library
    • Select the media item you want to display
    • Click "Select" or "Add"

  1. Repeat this process for each region in your layout
  2. You can preview how each region will look

Step 4: Assign Screens (Optional)

  1. Click on "Assign Screens" or "Select Screens"
  2. You will see a list of your available screens
  3. Check the boxes next to the screens where you want this publication to display
  4. You can select multiple screens
  5. If you don't select any screens, the publication will be saved but not displayed anywhere

Step 5: Configure Display Settings

  1. For each region, you can configure:
    • Duration: How long the content displays (for playlists)
    • Transition: How content transitions (fade, slide, etc.)
    • Position: Fine-tune the position and size if needed

Step 6: Save the Publication

  1. Review your publication to ensure everything looks correct
  2. Click "Save" or "Publish" button at the top
  3. Your publication will be saved and pushed to the assigned screens

4.5 Updating an Existing Publication

  1. Go to the Publications list
  2. Find the publication you want to update
  3. Click the edit icon
  4. The publication editor will open with the current content
  5. Make your changes:
    • Change media in regions
    • Add or remove screens
    • Adjust layout if needed
    • Update display settings
  6. Click "Save" or "Update" to apply changes
  7. The changes will automatically sync to connected screens

4.6 Advanced Publication Features

Using Playlists in Publications

  1. When assigning media to a region, you can select a Playlist
  2. The playlist will play through all its media items in sequence
  3. Each item will display for its configured duration

Multi-Region Layouts

  1. Complex layouts can have many regions
  2. Each region operates independently
  3. You can mix different content types (videos in one region, apps in another)

Preview Mode

  1. Before saving, click "Preview" to see how your publication will look
  2. This shows the actual display without pushing to screens
  3. Make adjustments as needed

4.7 Managing Publications

Duplicating a Publication

  1. Find the publication you want to duplicate
  2. Click the duplicate icon or select "Duplicate" from the menu
  3. A copy will be created with "(Copy)" appended to the name
  4. Edit the copy as needed

Deleting a Publication

  1. Find the publication you want to delete
  2. Click the delete icon
  3. Confirm the deletion
  4. The publication will be removed and screens will stop displaying it

⚠️ Warning: Deleting a publication will immediately affect all screens displaying it.

Publishing Schedule (If Available)

Some versions support scheduling:

  1. Edit a publication
  2. Go to "Schedule" settings
  3. Set start and end dates/times
  4. The publication will automatically activate and deactivate based on the schedule

Login & Access

Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it? A: Click the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen and follow the instructions sent to your email.

Q: Why can't I log in with Google? A: Google authentication must be enabled by your administrator. Contact them if you need this feature.

Q: My email verification link expired. What should I do? A: Request a new verification email from the login screen or contact your administrator.

Media Management

Q: What file formats are supported for upload? A:

  • Images: JPG, PNG, GIF

Q: How quickly do updates appear on screens? A: Changes typically sync within a few seconds to a minute, depending on your network connection.

Q: Can I create custom layouts? A: Layout customization depends on your platform version. Contact your administrator for advanced layout features.

Q: What happens if I don't assign any screens to a publication? A: The publication will be saved but won't be displayed anywhere until you assign screens to it.

Troubleshooting

Q: My screen shows a black screen or no content A:

  1. Check if the screen is enabled
  2. Verify the publication is assigned to the screen
  3. Ensure media in the publication is accessible
  4. Check the device's network connection

Q: Video playback is choppy on my screen A:

  1. Check network bandwidth
  2. Try using a lower resolution video
  3. Ensure the display device meets minimum requirements

Q: Changes aren't appearing on my screen A:

  1. Wait a few minutes for sync to complete
  2. Check network connection
  3. Try restarting the player application
  4. Verify you saved the publication after making changes
