1. Getting Started - Login
1.1 Accessing the Platform
- Open your web browser and navigate to the platform URL provided by your administrator
- You will see the login screen

1.2 Logging In with Email and Password

1.3 Logging In with Google (Optional)
If Google authentication is enabled for your account:

1.4 Email Verification
If your account requires email verification:
- After signing up, you will receive a verification email
- Check your email inbox (and spam folder if needed)
- Click the verification link in the email
- Your account will be activated and you can log in

2. Managing Media
Media is the core content that you'll display on your screens. This includes images, videos, apps, and more.
2.1 Accessing the Media Library
- After logging in, navigate to the Media section from the main menu
- You will see your media library with all your uploaded content

2.2 Uploading Media Files

- Click the "Upload" or "Add Media" button
- Select "Upload File" option
- Choose an image file from your computer (JPG, PNG, GIF formats supported)
- Enter a name for your media item

2.3 Creating App Content
Apps are interactive content types that can display dynamic information like weather, YouTube videos, RSS feeds, and more.

- In the Media section, click "Create App" or "Add App"

YouTube App
Display YouTube videos on your screens.
- Select "YouTube" from the app options
- Enter a name for your YouTube app
- Paste the YouTube video URL or Video ID

Weather App

Playlist App

2.4 Organizing Media with Folders
Keep your media organized by using folders.
- In the Media library, click "Create Folder" or the folder icon
- Enter a folder name
- Click "Create"
- To move media into a folder, drag and drop or use the move option
- Click on a folder to view its contents

2.5 Editing Media
- Find the media item you want to edit
- Click the edit icon (pencil) or right-click and select "Edit"
- Make your changes (name, settings, etc.)
- Click "Save" to apply changes
2.6 Deleting Media
- Find the media item you want to delete
- Click the delete icon (trash) or right-click and select "Delete"
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
- The media will be permanently removed

3. Creating Screens
Screens represent physical display devices where your content will be shown.
3.1 Accessing Screens Management
- Navigate to "Screens" from the main menu
- You will see a list of all your screens

3.2 Creating a New Screen
- Click the "Add Screen" or "Create Screen" button
- Fill in the screen details:
- Screen Name: Give your screen a descriptive name (e.g., "Lobby Display", "Reception Screen")
- Username: Create a unique username for this screen (used for authentication)
- Password: Create a secure password for this screen
- Status: Enable or disable the screen

- Your screen is now created and ready to be set up on a physical device
3.3 Screen Authentication Setup
After creating a screen, you need to connect it to a physical display device:
- On your display device, open the player application
- You will see an authentication screen
- Choose one of two authentication methods:
Method 1: Username and Password
- Enter the username and password you created for the screen
- Click "Authenticate" or "Login"
- The screen will connect and start displaying content
Method 2: Device Code (Pairing)
- The display will show a device code (e.g., "ABCD-1234")
- On your computer, go to the activation page
- Enter the device code
- Select the screen you want to pair
- The device will automatically connect

3.4 Managing Screens
Editing a Screen
- Find the screen in the screens list
- Click the edit icon
- Update screen details as needed
- Click "Save"
Disabling a Screen
- Find the screen you want to disable
- Click the edit icon
- Toggle the "Enabled" switch to OFF

- The screen will stop receiving content
Deleting a Screen

4. Creating Publications
Publications are content layouts that combine your media and define how it will be displayed on screens.
4.1 Understanding Publications
A publication consists of:
- Layout: The arrangement of content regions on the screen
- Content: Media items assigned to each region
- Screens: Which physical screens will display this publication
4.2 Accessing Publications
- Navigate to "Publications" or "Screen Publications" from the main menu
- You will see a list of your existing publications

4.3 Creating a New Publication

4.4 Setting Up Your Publication
Step 1: Choose a Name
- At the top of the editor, enter a publication name
- Make it descriptive so you can easily identify it later

Step 2: Select a Layout Template
- Click on "Select Template" or "Choose Layout"
- Browse available layout templates:
- Single Full Screen: One region covering the entire screen
- Split Screen (2 regions): Screen divided into 2 sections
- Triple Split: Screen divided into 3 sections
- Quad Layout: Screen divided into 4 sections
- Custom layouts: Other predefined layouts

- Click on a template to select it
- The editor will update to show the selected layout
Step 3: Assign Media to Regions
- You will see your layout divided into regions (areas)
- Each region can hold one media item
- To add content to a region:
- Click on the region
- A media picker will open
- Browse your media library
- Select the media item you want to display
- Click "Select" or "Add"

- You can preview how each region will look

Step 4: Assign Screens (Optional)
- Click on "Assign Screens" or "Select Screens"
- You will see a list of your available screens
- Check the boxes next to the screens where you want this publication to display
- You can select multiple screens
- If you don't select any screens, the publication will be saved but not displayed anywhere

Step 5: Configure Display Settings
- For each region, you can configure:
- Duration: How long the content displays (for playlists)
- Transition: How content transitions (fade, slide, etc.)
- Position: Fine-tune the position and size if needed

- Review your publication to ensure everything looks correct
- Click "Save" or "Publish" button at the top
- Your publication will be saved and pushed to the assigned screens

4.5 Updating an Existing Publication
- Go to the Publications list
- Find the publication you want to update
- Click the edit icon
- The publication editor will open with the current content
- Make your changes:
- Change media in regions
- Add or remove screens
- Adjust layout if needed
- Update display settings
- Click "Save" or "Update" to apply changes
- The changes will automatically sync to connected screens

4.6 Advanced Publication Features
Using Playlists in Publications
- When assigning media to a region, you can select a Playlist
- The playlist will play through all its media items in sequence
- Each item will display for its configured duration
Multi-Region Layouts
- Complex layouts can have many regions
- Each region operates independently
- You can mix different content types (videos in one region, apps in another)

Preview Mode
- Before saving, click "Preview" to see how your publication will look
- This shows the actual display without pushing to screens
- Make adjustments as needed

4.7 Managing Publications
Duplicating a Publication
- Find the publication you want to duplicate
- Click the duplicate icon or select "Duplicate" from the menu
- A copy will be created with "(Copy)" appended to the name
- Edit the copy as needed
Deleting a Publication
- Find the publication you want to delete
- Click the delete icon
- Confirm the deletion
- The publication will be removed and screens will stop displaying it
⚠️ Warning: Deleting a publication will immediately affect all screens displaying it.
Publishing Schedule (If Available)
Some versions support scheduling:
- Edit a publication
- Go to "Schedule" settings
- Set start and end dates/times
- The publication will automatically activate and deactivate based on the schedule
